These are previously block cuts that I did (bamboo, thistle, sea turtle) - I experimented with printing by doing the first printing with regular ink and then printing over it with gold gesso.

Tall Ship - error - after posting the Tall Ship oil painting - and looking at it closer this morning - I realize that the bowsprit (mast coming off the bow of the ship is misplaced - being too far to the left) - am going to attempt to correct it.

I painted gold gesso on a canvas board and then printed the night bird block on the canvas.

I did this for my sister who is blind as a result of a stroke - she can see some color and images but this vision is limited - previous chigri I have done for her, she has been able to make out the image - when doing this I attempt to get the greatest contrast so that the figure stands out.
