Geisha (Ink, Acrylic Paint on Watercolor Paper)

Marble Abstraction (Acrylic Paint))

Image
Don suggested I attempt to emulate the impression of marble - using acylic paint and a crumbled-up piece of aluminum foil, I applied red, blue, yellow, green and purple acrylic to a piece of watercolor paper - I let it dry and then applied white acrylic with a narrow palette knife.   As with the bubble picture I did about a week ago - I am not sure what I will do with the result of this marble impression (leaving it as it is or using it as the basis for something else)

Bubbles and Koi

I took the previously done Bubbles picture enhanced with koi - by making appliques of watercolor paper and opalescent ink - then applying the appliques to the canvas.

I decided to experiment with watercolor by applying a layer of tissue paper to a piece of watercolor paper using flour and water paste  - then using watercolor paint to create an image - then applying another layer of tissue with a glue paste and finally a layer of tissue wrapping paper applied with a spray sealant.

Paddle Boat Steamer (Modified)

Image
This is a revision to the previous picture I did about a month or so ago - I had in hanging in our art studio and often looked at while I road my stationary bike - and with each viewing my dissatisfaction with it increased - I realized hat the contrast between the boat and the background was insufficient - therefore, I reworked some of the colors - and am pleased with the results.
