Revision of Canna Lily Oil Painting

Image
The 1st picture is an oil painting that I did of canna lilies about 6 Years ago. I was never really satisfied with it because I always felt the background overwhelmed the foreground. After mulling it over for quite some time I decided to tone down the background with white pastel. That I do believe it brings the flowers more to the foreground

Daughter/Father Glass Work Project

Image
My daughter, Becky, make me the topic piece of glass work the Christmas after I moved into my home in Belleville IL.  That was in the late 1990's.   In all my moves, I have taken it with me and displayed it where ever I lived.  I got to thinking, now with the uses I have made of Dura-Lar and alcohol ink, I would like to see what Becky's piece would look like embellished with these new art supplies.  I talked it over with Becky and she thought it was a good idea.  The second picture is the original with a backing of Dura-Lar and alcohol ink.
