Poppies (Acrylic, Black Ink and Heavy Brown Paper)

Image
This picture was done almost like a reverse batik.   A member of the art group that Don attends, suggested this process.   She said to start with heavy brown paper.  Then to draw your subject on the brown paper. And then to paint it with tempera paint however I used a quilt paint.    Once page is dry,  I turned the paper over and put a layer of slightly  diluted black over the entire back of the brown paper. Once the ink was dried I crumpled and rolled up ink then brown paper to create the batik look.
