Poppies (Block Print Used With a New Pross Differing From Previous Methods)

The above is the actual block that I cut out
This set of prints where created by using a paint brush to apply specific colors to various parts of the block instead  of using a brayer with one of 2 colors on the brayer.

  
This set of prints were taking a brayer to apply from 1 to 3 block inks.  Once the ink dried, I applied water soluble black India ink and then spritzed black ink.

 I had decided to do another regular batik - cloth dye on linen - using an acrylic painting that Don had done some time ago - this is the first picture in the series  I drew a preliminary and simplified idea for the batik on plain drawing paper and highlighted the lines with black magic marker  I, then, colored in the draft drawing with watercolor pencil so that I could get some idea about how I would apply the cloth dye to the linen.
